The owners have a valid gripe. A salary cap needs to be in place. If things continue at the current rate, then hockey will go the route of baseball, and we will be watching the YRed Wings (insert Yankees) in the Stanley Cup (insert World Series) every year. It's getting tiring, and it basically sucks. Hockey needs to go back to the late 70's and early 80's in terms of playing. Back when free agents did not decide teh playoffs...
