Setup for Friday: Operation Dragoon
« on: September 22, 2004, 10:12:23 AM »
Over ninety-four thousand troops and eleven thousand vehicles were landed on the first day. They met little resistance from German forces as they moved inland, since many enemy troops had been diverted to fight the Allied forces in Northern France after Operation Overlord.

USA
A-20G
B-17G
B-26B
C-47A
P-38L
P-47D-11
P-47D-25
P-51D
Ostie
M Series
Sherman (Panzer)

Germany
Ju-88A-4
Ju-52(C-47)
Bf 109G-10
Fw 190A-8
Fw 190D-9
Fw 190F-8
Me 262 (heavily perked and limited to rear fields only)
Ostie
M Series
Panzer
Tiger

Arena Settings
- Dar Historical
- Fuel 1.0
- Downtimes 30 minutes
- all AAA .7
- 15 troops to capture an airfield

Setup Notes
I've limited each side to three fighters (P-38L/P-51D/P-47D-11 vs Bf 109G-10/FW-190A8/FW-190D9) and one primary Jabo (P-47D-25 and Fw 190F-8).  Although the P-51D and P-38 have heavy Jabo capabilities, their use for this campaign was a combination of bomber escort and CAS for ground forces.  Most P-38's and P-51D will have little time to Jabo considering the Dora and G-10 is in the arena. The Me 262 will be perked heavily to avoid over-use. I am setting up the BOB map for a southern attack to simulate the northern push into France.

Don't have a FINRUS map to use yet.  If we get it before next Monday, we'll try to schedule it in for th Oct1st setup.  :(

Are any skinners working on the Fin skins and lend lease rusky skins for this? Or is everyone waiting for the change to the AH2 hi-res format? The Fin and Rus lend lease paint jobs Ive seen look nice.

Yes.  Citabria, thebest1, and I have been doing some lend-lease aircraft.  I did a Spit5, Cit and thebest1 did P-40s.
