Yeah I get the same thing but not as bad.   35-40 FPS in the air but only 5-10 FPS on the ground.

I sure am...switch my drivers too and it got worst.

I do about 30 or so around anywhere but fields and fleets, there it's anywhere from 3-9fps

Iv'e found that 1.05 requires more horsepower. Bigger cpu fixed all my problems. I went from 500 P111 at 30 fps on the ground to 60 fps with my 840 P111. You can run at the lower res and that will help.

My frame rate seems to be pretty much the same as it was before: between 47 and 67 in flight, 100+ if I look  straight up. that said, I do seem to have slightly less frame rate probs in big bunches of cloud. I'm at 1280x1024 in 32-bit.

Bringing color down to 16-bit makes a big difference.

I've only ever maxed out at 39 FPS, with 466 Celeron and a Geforce.  However, its stable, always between 25-30, no jerking. I'm at 1024 resolution, 16-bit.

This being said, this is ONLY for online play.  Offline, it got SLOWER with the update!  (like 5-12 on the ground, little higher in the air) Go figure.

Jay.

I would expect it to get slower offline.  Offline your FE is both the FE and the host, while online it is only the FE.  More objects in the world for the host to move around means more work for the game to do offline.

16 bit color is UGLY.  Switching from 32 to 16 bit color is not an option until/unless the color banding is reduced.

Not pointing fingers or anything, but WB had tons of ugly color banding until the new iEN crew got to the source code.  The color banding was nearly entirely eliminated within an update or two.  I still wouldn't want to go back to 16 bit color in AH, but it's the color banding that keeps me at 32 bit regardless of any framerate hit.
