Get yourself a web page somewhere in the web.

Upload your picture there.

Like to the picture with UBB code

----
To add a graphic within your message, just encase the URL of the graphic image as shown in the following example (UBBCode™ is in red).

[im g]http://www.infopop.com/artwork/footer_logotype.gif[/img]
In the example above, the UBBCode™ automatically makes the graphic visible in your message. Note: the "http://" part of the URL is REQUIRED for the [img] code. Also note: some UBB forums may disable the [img] tag support to prevent objectionable images from being viewed.
----

(I added space between m and g win [img] tag, remove it when you actually add picture.

Hope it helps,

Fariz

To add some more...

You need three things, (1) a web site to store your picture, (2) a program to send your file to that web site, and (3) the code entry in your post that your web site can read.

1. Most ISPs include a small personal web site with their package. In addition, AOL may also have the same capability. This feature is essentially storage space on the ISP computer that has your name on it. Many refer to it as your 'homepage'.

2. Here's a URL of a business that offers a free program that you use to load your picture to the web site. I use it and it works fine.
 http://www.ipswitch.com/Products/index.html

3. Lastly, you need to type the code line just right so that the picture will appear in your post. This code is called UBB and make sure you have '*UBB Code is ON' shown in the left column of your AH posting page.

The entry begins with this:

Put all of that together to look ike this. remember, no spaces!

 [Xmg]http://www.myISP.com/~myhomepagename/mypicture.jpg[/Xmg]

NOTE: In order to get this line to appear in this post, I had to change the letter 'i' to 'X' in the first and last boxed entry.

Hope this helps!

Andy

Yep geocities is good for storing pics for others to see .

They now have taken the ~ out of the address , leaving me lots of old posts with blank pics

They also have online web site , pic uploading so you can learn "without" a ftp program . It's called the "file manager"  http://geocities.yahoo.com/members/file_manager.html
 www.geocities.com

Have fun

Little gray one in front is getting "big" now   I couldn't give her away .

cheers spro
