Bomb blast animations
« on: November 06, 2004, 05:23:23 PM »
Lastnight while the MA was in a seizure, I went offline and took off in a b24 loaded with 100lb bombs and dropped 1 on a city. The blast was  dime sized on my moniter, and the bldg in the city didnt fall.

Why I did this was to see the area of destruction each bomb size would cause. The 2000 and 4000 lb bombs made large areas of destruction....but...the animated bomb blast..the concussion wave I guess you'd call it, was the same size for the 100 as it was the 4000lb.

My question, although not a huge priority Im sure...is will they ever be different for each bomb? I do hear a difference in the sound of the blast..I know when I drop a 4000lber..a cool deep rumble is heard, but will we ever see the difference?

To go along with that, what ever happened to parts flying everywhere when you destroy a building? If there's one thing that bugs me that most is seeing buildings disappear when I hit them with thousands of pounds worth of explosives. HT needs to do something about that..
