Is it too early to ask?
« on: November 04, 2004, 03:07:52 PM »
It's been a very long time since we have heard anything about really new stuff coming for AH. I think since the con last year when Hitech was interviewed and talked about the TOD aspect of the game that would be coming.

Granted, the HTC team has been busy making the fondations for TOD and the future of AHII Main Arena or "Classic" as it was dubbed back then. Now that we supposedly have this fondation of new 3D models, new FM, new gunnery, selectable skins and new terrain features, I would sure like to know what we are looking forward to now.

So anyway, is it too early to be asking what are the next steps, and what we will be seeing next? Here's hoping...

I'd really like to hear about the new effects sudz is said to be working on.

I still just want more planes.  Call me a simpleton.  :)

Although with the addition of Sudz programming too, maybe work on TOD will go forward more quickly than otherwise, and lead to a faster development with less gap in "classic" development.

Maybe they should fix the bugs in the game first before adding more toys.  The new vehicles and planes have some gliches that need to be worked out as well as the game itself (i.e. See thru the hill GV Glitch). :)

Rather see improved terrain graphics, sky, clouds, water and new maps before adding more planes to the hanger queens that are already there.

I'll say it's a moderate to long stretch of new model releases coupled with bug fixes/new gfx engine implementation/debugging and other fixing/optimizing/polishing, so they can move on to focus on TOD's release and planeset followed by bug fixing/optimizing/polishing.

Think about the lead up to the Ki. If they let us know what's being worked on, the impatience will drown the BBS within 2 days.

They'll probably make announcements when they're "2 weeks" from being done.:lol
