Patch 3 bugs
« on: November 19, 2004, 11:13:30 PM »
B-26 transparency problem still exists with certain decals and internal parts showing through the wings and nacells. Plus the right prop is now all white and still blocks smoke.

Vehicle suspension is acting like a giant coil spring. On contact with any slope, it contracts and then bounces the whole vehicle into the air. As if that wasn't enough, the suspension damper isn't working. Every vehicle bobs around after stopping or firing for a good long while.

Halftracks are stopping on contact with most slopes. Instead of driving on up they stop cold.

SBD aileron trim indicator is reversed and doesn't display any changes until a lot of left aileron is dialed in.

B-24 bomb bay doors are still retracting through the fuselage from the inside to the outside.

LVT dash boards show through the model when viewed from behind or either side.

TBM and JU-87 have transparent parts. On the TBM, both the rear turret ring and the insignia on the left wing show through at any angle. Plus the turret glass and canopy roof panels are blocking out the prop so you can't see it when viewed from behind.

On the Ju-87, the white stripes on the left wing show through at any angle. Plus the clipboard is visible through the right cockpit sidewall.

A-20G and Mosquito nose gun sounds rotates as the aircraft rolls. If you roll left, the sound comes from the right speaker as if you were looking left instead of rolling.

A-20G has an elevator that instantly responds to commands, making for a very jerky flight. A slight pitch up at high speed causes the whole aircraft to jolt. It acts almost like bang-bang steering.

B5N2 elevator trim shows full nose down, or close to it, in level flight. Activating auto-level in a climb actually had the red marker down near the bottom of the dash.

View ranges are bugged, at least on NDISLES. Crossing over the supply depot just W the southern Knight port in a B5N2 showed no ground targets or trees. This was at an alt of 5,500 ft, full-zoom on the bombsight. Dropping to within 1,500 ft of the terrain suddenly made them all show up. Changing view distance using F1/2/3, or using the range slider in graphics options, had no effect until I dropped under 1,500 AGL.

Using ~ to manipulate the text buffer results in a half-second snag while the buffer opens or closes.
