vox to headset?

any way to set it up so that all the vox communications go to a headset instead of through the computer speakers?
just think that would be kinda cool.

I use a headset, I don't even have my external speakers hooked upped. To me i can tell which direction the noise is coming from better by using a headset rather than my PC speakers. and VOX works fines too.

Maybe Jnuk was asking for vox sound from headset and other sound from speakers, to have a more immersive feeling; I think this is not possible at the moment, you have all the sounds from one source.
I agree with Hondo, anyway, using headset u can better trace the direction the sound is comin from.

I use a splitter on my line out on the sound card. One side goes to headset. This is what I use when wife is sleeping etc.

Other side goes to my KLH Stereo reciver & to 2 big speakers hanging in the corners of the room. THIS is what I use for ambience when the house is empty.

Nothing like rocking the house to the sound of airplane engines & 20mm's

ya i was actually trying to say what stegor was referring to .
I just thought it would be cool to be able to send the vox communications through a headset while still having other sounds through the speakers.
what i had in mind was sort of similar to having the "channel beep" before either the tunable or the range channel, but instead of beep having it go through the headphones.
i guess thats not possible though

Of course it's possible, just not done yet. If games can have full 5.1 surround sound (HL2 just one example that it works awesome), then it's not unthinkable to use similar technology to send VOX sounds to a headphone speaker only.

Of course, I will state the same thing I always do when talking about HTC's vox though... It would be really nice if VOX just worked properly the way it is now (i.e. no more lost vox, or loss of volume, etc.)

Had the same idea but it would most likely require an additional sound card or routing the vox output through the line out jack. Second option would require some external amplification, not much though for a headset.

One other issue is that windows kinda gets ornery when you have 2 functioning sound devices. I've tried it as my MOBO has built in sound. I don't use it as I use my SB card. When I tried to load the drivers for the MOBO device, Windows was not happy.

I use an sb audigy and 4.1 speakers, plus a usb headset. the headset is its own soundcard in windows.

When playing other games and using someting like teamspeak, I can tell teamspeak to use my headset as input and output, while the game will use the audigy. it works great.

would be nice to be able to tell ah which soundcard to use for the voice channel.
