What is the best modern air combat sim?

Is it a patched up Lock-on:MAC?

What if you only have slightly above average hardware?


I have to say that Thunderbirds video lit a fire.   But I downloaded the demo and couldn't do squat.

Agree with Falcon4 if you want uber realism

I'd love to see a modern version of Chuck Year's Air Combat tho.

There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!
