Problems with P-51B Skin
« on: January 16, 2005, 10:01:36 PM »
I am having problems with the P-51B skin that Oboe made.  The 325th/317th "Arthur Feidler" Skin,  I wanted to take a screen shot for Art.  When I bring it up, it comes up the British version of the P-51, with the American emblem.  I have deleted the file and reinstalled the skin pack but it doesn't work.

Any ideas?

When skins get screwed up like that, Skuzzy has been telling people to delete the skin from the cache folder and also the .res files.

I'm not sure which ones are which, so I'd recommend deleting all the P51b folders in the cache directory and all the p51b.res files in the skins directory; that will force them to re-download and that should correct the problem.  Or reinstall that skin pack after you delete the .res files and cache folders.

I hope Art likes the skin...

I deleted the whole skins file and downloaded the one from HTC website... still the same thing.

Which folder is the cache folder?

Stream, look in the Aces High cache folder (default location: C:\Program Files\HTC\Aces High II\cache).  You will see folders for the skins.  Just remove all the P51B folders in the cache directory.
