film problems

hey, noticed posts in film forum, just wanted to post here as well.  seems a number of us having problems while reviewing film.  for myself i get less than 1 minute into film before it locks up and then i get error message.  happens with all my films.   trippy

Film crashes viewer when plane starts firing.

To me it seems to crash as soon as the film is about to show my bullets hitting the enemy plane, not when just firing the guns (a problem rendering hit sprites or plane damage?).

I got 0:03:08 into a film before locking up.

I was also just firing bullets, but not for the first time.

At the time I was closing in on a B-24 formation and I expect the LOD was changing right then.

I try to edit out that section of film and it crashes during the edit.

it crashes when you get hit sprites on a plane ... it unaffected by ground obj's ..

Same problem for me too.  

It appears only to occur when the plane fires and rounds are about to hit.  If the plane is spraying the air with lead, it keeps going with no problem.  If a good firing solution is there, you won't see hit sprites or damage, just a crash to desktop at that point.

exactly... hit sprites cause film editor to crash.
