Ok, I was born at night--this is true enough. But it wasnt last night.

All i want to know is how to change from AP to HE while in the tank. Backspace doesn't work, however apparently I am a special case or crazy one

Ammo,

You have to go into keyboard mapping and map a key for it under gunner.

Actually, backspace works for me. U sure you picked a mixed loadout in the hangar?

Then again, hitting secondary fire in a vehicle does nothing for me, seems there's a separate key for that...

Actually yes Ricken, I did. I managed to get some keys on the keyboard mapped where I can actually fire the machine gun throught he same sight as the main gun and Im able to switch the ammo now. However, I still cant fire the other machine gun (There are 2 aren't there?) adn I get killed by tanks that I cant see yet Is there a way to zoom while in the main sight?

Yeah, Z key (Zoom mode) works in the sight too, just use the [ and ] keys to zoom in and out after hitting Z.
