WVU vs Wake Forest
« on: March 21, 2005, 12:21:18 PM »
I'm still numb after watching both overtimes.

I'm a die hard WVU fan, having been born and raised there.I worked my off day Saturday, and saw WVU was down by 14 at the half.I thought,"Oh well, great season, next year is looking good."

I left about 10:15,and drove to meet two friends at Roosters. The radio mentioned WVU was down by six with five minutes to go.When I pulled into the lot,ESPN radio switched to the WVU game, and with about 1:50 to go,they were only down one.

I watched Gansey miss a critical free throw that would have put WVU up by four in regulation, and allowed Wake to tie it with a three.

Then two overtimes of some of the most incredible basketball I've ever watched.Clutch shot after clutch shot by both teams with WVU finally prevailing over a team ESPN picked to win it all.

Games like that are truly what college basketball and March Madness are all about.

It was great game!

Where did you grow up in West Virginia?
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

I like seeing WVU win.  Lots of heart on that team.  I'm happy this year, both Illinois AND Kentucky made the sweet 16.  If only SIU could have gotten further.  Ah well.  Cant have everything.  :)

My dad graduated from Roosevelt Wilson, in 69 (I think).

You familiar with any Hyman's?
