I'm considering buying this title. I'd be interested to hear how would you compare the gameplay to MOH or COD (both of which are far different from each other IMO)?
I haven't played MOH, but compared to COD, here's what I say:
COD is slightly more of a FPS in that you are told what to do, you go forth figuring out how to do it, there are some gotchas, but judicious saving will expidite discovery and there's basically a "right" way to accomplish objectives.
In Brothers you are told what your basic objective is, then you are put into a series of mini encounters with your squad (and early on your squad is you and a Cpl), and you decide how best to work through the mini encounter. There is also basically a "right" way of going about an encounter, but as you go along this way becomes less obvious and you kind of have to play out an encounter before you appreciate whether you picked the best option (you can't save a checkpoint just before turning a corner, e.g.). You are going to take casualties no matter what in cases. So "best way" becomes subjective.
The squad command thing is novel, and simple. You have a fire team and and assault team. You tell the fire team where to position themselves and where to direct suppressing fire. You tell the assault team where to move (usually a flanking move under some cover) and when and where to assault the target.
