A new version of the beta is available for downloads. The instructions for its use are the same as in my previous post. This is not an update so you don't need the first version of the beta installed to get this one.

Please discontinue reporting on the initial beta release and only make reports on this version. The same reporting criteria should be used for this version. It's not necessary to report on the joystick issues unless it's something new since we know about it but haven't addressed it yet.
This version does not yet address the joystick problems that some have encountered. It should fix the crash problems that were happening on some machines, the frame rate drop everyone was getting, and the hit sprites looking different.
Hopefully by next week we'll start to test some new graphics enhancements in the beta beginning with some new stuff in how the terrain textures work. That adds a nice look and really gives you a sense of speed down low.
