What do y'all think about them?

HT could make good revenue by adding ads to the aeroplane skins or label the buff hangers '7-11'. Huh?

There could be all kinds of stores in town. McDonalds, pizza hut etc. There'd always be a line of gv's cuing for donuts and all.

a small button somewhere in the cockpit to order beer or wings would be nice and unobtrusive.  could generate profits for HTC.

Maybe there could be 'sponsored arena' with 50 player limit that would be ad fueled. :p

you guys should be beaten for even suggesting in-game AH advertising...
I regret doing business with TD Computer Systems.

If it was limited to a separate sponsored low cost (or free) arena I don't see why not.

It _would_ destroy regular AH immersion naturally and won't suit subscribers.

Sad reality is that you can expect to buy games in the future only to get pop-up ads while you play them.

If I had to choose between a $2/month increase in my subscription rate, or an in-game advert, I would choose the advert.

It could be a 3-second splashscreen for the History channel, or a building in a town reskinned to make it look like a Wendy's, or a MetLife blimp as a target drone.  I don't care.  Revenue is revenue, and the less that has to come from me the better.

I once had the idea of getting sponsered.

You know like...

System:  Furious was landed 2 kills in an F4u-1 of Coca Cola "It's the real thing"

and a coke symbol squad art.

but that would be gay beyond belief.  Even I would hate me for doing it.

...unless, of course,  I could actually find a sponsor.

With all the extra cash that advertising would generate, HTC wouldn't even miss my $15.

7-11's and McDonalds woudl probably violate HT's authenticity policy with reguards to historical accuracy.

Probably be able ta do it with Coca Cola, Lucky Strikes and such though.
