Wife booked it after I said of my steadfast refusal to spend a week at a beach.
I'm sick of beaches.

I wanted to go with the family here http://lakepowell.com/ which is where Im planning on going next year.

Now that looks cool :)  The site hasn't been updated since '04....did they give you a quote on rates?  Would be interesting to compare, may have to plan a vacation next year!

There was a site that had  quotes on it that I have around here somewhere.
Basically there are varying rates depending on what your looking for. But over all, cept for the airfare to get out there. It is about the same as we are spending to go to Big Bass.

Really while its nice I'd rather go there then Big Bass or the Ocean.

I've been to lakes like Big bass and I've been tot he ocean. I know what they look like. Been there done that.

I've NEVER been there. And I want to go to someplace like this before I get too old to do anything more then sit there and look at it.

My wife. if she had her way would spend a week at Seaside every year. It got to the point where I refused to go if it ment spending more then 2 days there. She used to keep calling my bluff on this. Thus she and the kids have been there about 5 times more then I have.

I don't get it.  If there's bass fishing, why would you need to find anything else to do? :)

Cause even I can only do so much of that before I get bored. Plus I will be having one 8 year old girl one 3 year old and 3 women with us.

Leaving tomorrow morning.
Got some Whiskey, TaKILLya, a bottle of Cream Sherry, And a bottle of Reisling all set to go so far
. Beer in Pennsy we can get almost anywhere but the hard stuff Im bringing here rather then try to hunt down an ABC store there.

Figger beer and booze will take up s'more of my time. but there is still gonna be some moments when they catch my brother in law and myself sober and not fishing where they are gonna "Want to do something"

If it was just my brother in law my son and myself we would just do what we normally do.
Get in my canoe on the upper Delaware, paddle out to the middle of the river, put the paddles into the bottom of the canoe and nonstop fish and drink our way down river.

Hell we dont even put our poles dowjn long enough to paddle through the rapids. We go through em frontwards. backwards and sideways.

My Bro on law and I even did it at night once. Interesting experiance and story for another time
