Mario, you can only use the external view if the arena you are flying in has it enabled. To use the external view hit F3. To return to internal hit F1.

I suggest you to go Setup > keyboard, and see what is mapped to which keys. It is very helpful. It will tell you that you need to turn the engine on with the "e" key, and that you need to hit your throttle to speed the engine up or slow it down,, and that you need to hit your space or "c"/"v" to engage the wheel brakes.

You'll save yourself a lot of questions if you check the default keyboard mapping, first.

You can also check HTC help file, i think theres a default keymap list. Lots of other interesting stuff about game, flying basics and tactics to read up can be found on http://www.netaces.org . I really recommend going there.

Stop by in the training arena (choose it on startup screen, instead of main arena). Usually theres someone there willing to help you getting started. You can also mail the trainer corps at trainers@hitechcreations.com .

Definately visit the download page and get the help file. http://downloads.hitechcreations.com/AH2HELP.EXE
Every new player should read that once or twice just to get the basics.
As mentioned http://www.netaces.org is a very comprehensive help site that will have answers to many questions.
Netaces.org has a nice printable Quick Reference Guide in Adobe Reader format.
Also visit the Training arena and you can get help there. Most people will help you even if they aren't official Trainers.
And be prepared to do a little work on your end, or alot if you want to get better faster. AcesHigh does have a fairly steep learning curve and we've all gone through it but the the time and effort you do put into learning it will be rewarded :)
Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.
