I'm stumped on this one. I traded in my old Saitek X-45 for a new X-45 after I wore out the hat switch. When I connected the new stick and calibrated, I found that the sensitivity was much more...sensitive than previous.
Checking the joystick settings in-game I find that with what corresponds to 1/2 deflection of the stick the input goes from 1/2 back or forward elevator (1/4 from the bottom of the blue box) to full with nothing in between.
Moving the stick smoothly forward to the stop or pulling it back to the stop should result in a linear input line. Mine is linear until the last 1/4-1/3 to the edge of the box and it drops immediately to full deflection. I can't even 'desensitize' the stick using the sliders.
I thought it might be the new stick, so I re-traded it in and a new stick (completely different lot number for production) does the same thing.
