one of the very few games the storyline sucked me in.

graphics look the same to me?
I am not ashamed to confess that I am ignorant of what I do not know.

It's a great game, yet the story line didn't quite suck me in as much as I would of liked..

But what I loved the most was making a quick mission where a flight of helicopters come in, circle the airfield, and land, I just loved sitting there watching the AI take their turns, not crashing into eachother...

Same graphical look to me too..

My second favorite thing to do was set up night time ambushes on a convoy, without night vision..

Xbox version -- graphically, it's seen improvements since OFP for PC, keeping in pace with the improvements in graphics drivers. I don't know if the images will be as complex as for the PC (console limitations), but making OFP conform to Xbox QA has improved a lot of the annoying problems of OFP (Netcode, Clipping). And the folks over in Prague were very proud that they managed to fit the whole OFP+Res. sequence in there on the 600 mhz Xbox CPU, without having to cut anything out.
In addition, they've thrown in some of the fruits of their research in the meantime -- most of which you can find mentioned or hinted at in some of the press articles.
...
That's one of the reasons for Armed Assault: they can now release a greatly optimized and improved OFP for the PC.

If the original game had the ability to join mulitplayer games in progress it would be very popular. Supposedly "Armed Assault" will be OFP 1.5 and have that ability. Suppose to be out by end of year on PC.

Join-in-Progress and Fixing the clipping are guaranteed. Out this year? Have they announced a publisher yet?

I have OFP for the PC. Some nights I would get bored and set a landmine in the road and have one of them little blue cars hit it to see how far it can fly through the air.

Also edited a garbage can into it and stuck mines under it just to make it fly :rofl
