I hope with all my heart I never have to shoot anyone, and if an intruder breaks into my house, I would give him one chance to surrender and lay down, if he didnt immediately comply, I would not hesitate to protect my family and myself with lethal force.

The bureau said in a statement that the two agents were in a parked vehicle in Reseda during an investigation of a violation of the Hobbs Act, which concerns extortion and robbery.

The agents were ``accosted by four young male subjects, at least one of whom was armed'' about midnight and an altercation ensued when the four suspects allegedly tried to take the agents' vehicle, FBI officials said.

Authorities did not say how many shots were fired or how many individuals had guns.

The wounded suspect was hospitalized in stable condition. The other two suspects were in the custody of the Los Angeles Police Department.

FBI officials said a special team will investigate the shooting while local officials will consider criminal charges against the suspects.

I was born and raised in Reseda. Used to be a real nice quiet suburban town in the western San Fernando Valley. Rainbird sprinklers in the morning, riding my bike tossing papers, my dog tagging alongside. Can't recall a single violent crime in the area as a kid.

Oh well.

Lock 'n Load, Holmes. Gotta packa gang bangers to pop up on Ventura Blvd....

I guess MT doesnt want to answer my question, and I am sure it is because he knows his answer would be the same as mine, he first thought "black".

He doesnt want to admit that:

1) Majority of carjackers are black

2) He is only human and assumes the same thing as the rest of us

TWICE as likely to be carjacked if you're black?  That sucks.

I hate racial associations like this, it reinforces unrelated stereotypes through association, not to mention that it's really sad.  It's too bad that the hardcore "Gangsta rap" musicians don't face the same stigma in their community that white supremecist bands do in theirs.

Been a while since I've visited Reseda, but last I was there it was pretty much white / maybe some mexican population. Reseda always meant white punks to me.

Whell if they were black,they will let them go(couse they black),
and they gonna fire the guy who shot one of them(if the dead guy were black of course).
C'mon people,cant forget OJ Simpson.
BTW i never had a problem with blacks untill i moved to USA.

Nothing for you to be sorry about....if you had summised they were black due to an inborn hatred you have of African Americans, then yes, you would have alot to work on.

Reality is this...not too many rich suburban middle schoolers out carjacking at gunpoint...it's a simple statistics thingie.

I honestly didn't give it a thought as I read the article...black or white is irrelevant....lawbreakers and a threat to innocent people is the real issue...time to toughen our laws and enforce the ones currently on the books.
