Nilsen: not for a long time, I'll give it a look if you say it improved.

Skuzzy: Add a variable at the end of your page call (ie: index.php?var=foo *) should get rid of your problem if you're not talking about embeded Flash ... if you're talking about Flash... then indeed it's the poop.

* I just usualy pass the session id

I used to hate it because of the ads and the bloated interface. Now its in version 8.5 without ads (yes its free now!) and it has become alot more user friendly. I love it and its the only browser i use on my wintel now.

How long before the copy of Mosaic I have in a tarball on my HD starts to appreciate in value, because it is a 'classic'?

I've never had any problems with IE so there is no reason to switch. Now Im using IE7 beta at home. Works fine.

Wow, nearly 50 posts and dmf was the only person to mention Netscape.

I use Netscape 7.2.   I like the way it manages bookmarks - better than IE which couldn't seem to keep them in order. I very much like the tabbed browsing features.

I tried N8.0 but didn't like the "themes" (or is it "skins"? ), and it didn't have the Upload function for uploading files to your webspace, so I went back to N7.2.

Switch because IE is another attempt by Microsoft to take over the World! :D

Actually...  no.
FireFox is netscape.  Or is netscape firefox?  Basically, Netscape sponsored an open source re-write of their browser, Firefox is the end result.

Download FireFox, it's the same browser without as much bloat (Netscape added a bunch of stuff to the Netscape branded version of it).

I tried FireFox but didn't like it. I can't remember why not. But I love NS7.2.
