OK, this is weird -- cant stay connected
« on: October 15, 2005, 04:30:45 PM »
After a long time with no prblems, I suppose something was due to come up...

Got in fine this AM, looked around in MA and didnt find anything I was interested in. Went to DA, and right after logging got a "switch to TCP" message. Within seconds, was disco'ed and crashed to desktop.

Restarted program and tried to log in. I could see all arenas' info, but when I clicked on DA the "button" didnt go down, the mouse froze, and the game hardlocked. I had to windows tab out, and close AH.

Rebooted, and tried to enter MA. Got the texture load bars, and entered MA...but first message was the orange "TCP lost", adn I never saw the MOD. Game crashed again.

tried the DA once more, got the frozen button, and CTD.

Meanwhile the router seems to be working fine -- others in house playing other games w/o problem, and I can surf the net no problem at all.

I have XP pro, 2.6G pentium, 1G RAM, NVidia GForce 6600 GT, cable modem with router and home LAN.

HELP

Simaril,

That happened to me.  I gave my AH PC a static IP address and put it in my firewall-router's DMZ.  And then I could connect - still dropped TCP but got connected.

You do not want to do that snak.  It is a problem in Savvis's network, and our IP addresses will be changing next week.
