i can open a film but it only gets to about 23 min of 2hr 23 min film and if wants to send an error report. any ideas

Typically this would be video or sound card driver related. What video card do you have? And what driver version are you using? Same questions for sound card.

You ought to be gettinga lot of error reports from Microsoft about AH film viewer errors from me!

Intel 875PZ, 2.6 G P4, Radeon 9800 SE, CMI 8738 sound card, XP, 1 G RAM

It usually fails on AVI conversion or playing the same film the second time.

If I turn off the optimiztions off before I film, the problem does not arise.

That last bit of information could very helpful Stegahorse. Is this true of others (about the optimizations)?
