The Best Blogger In the World
« on: October 21, 2005, 07:37:37 PM »
It's been a coupla years since I made a post titled "Blogs?" wherein I asked everyone what the hell they were, and nobody really knew.Since then, they've become commonplace.

And just like everything and everyone - there exists a gigantic pool of mediocrity. But just like everything and everyone, there emerge stars.

I'm gonna let you in on who I've zeroed in on as being the best, and hope you'll reciprocate by telling me who you've been paying attention to.

It probably comes as no surprise that my pick involves politics. But your pick/s can be about anything.

My pick, as the best blogger in the world, is:d r i f t g l a s s

The guy can write. No... I mean, he can really freakin' write. And he is funny as hell.

Nobody has really heard of him, and, odds are, you're gonna hate what he writes.

Oh well. And that's not the point. I wanna know, for all the marbles, who you think is the best blogger out there.

Consider it show and tell.

If you're reading blogs, let us hear who you think are worthy of reading. If you aren't.... could I suggest the next thread down?

I'm of course interested in blogs involving anything - from science to social science.... anything... as long as you consider it a staple. But I'm also interested in blogs counter to my POV - because I've not been able to find anything worthwhile.

Well I like Cheeseburger Brown (especially when he blogged as Darth Vader)

The blog you listed is well written, and the sort of thing I'd expect you to take interest in. :D

Just took a quick, cursory glance at both... and they both look very good.

Thank you!

Heading back to them...

I checked out the driftglass guy you mentioned in the main post, Nash.

Yaaaawn.

Exactly what I needed to get to sleep tonight, thanks!  I'm out.

when I read one I allways imagine some wild eyed guy who hasn't bathed in a few weeks standing on a park bench and screaming at the passerbys..

I like it here better where we can scream back at em without the fear of them touching us or getting close enough to smell em.

Sorry but that guy can't write at all.  It all seems like a disjointed literary masterbation exercise.  All preparation and no "H".

Moorewatch is good stuff. The trolls on both sides can be so blinkered it's funny. The guy who blogs it is pretty fair & has some good insights.
