Author Topic: Ok...how do I get rid of my X45 drivers now (Read 278 times)

I had an old X45 sitting collecting dust and mold in my closet. I couldn't get used to the X52 I had bought to replace it so I pulled out the X45. To get it working I deleted the X52 drivers through "Add & Remove Programs" in the Control Panel then wiped out the Saitek entries in my registry. I d/l'd only the X45 drivers...not the Saitek control panel programming program, installed them and managed to get the X45 working.

Trouble was the thing was in really bad shape and it was obvious that I wasn't going to be able to use it.

So, now I want to reinstall the X52. I KNOW I need to remove the X45 drivers, but nothing shows up in "Add/Remove Programs" in the Control Panel.

How do I get rid of these drivers?

Nuke em from orbit....its the only way to be sure.

nukeusb.exe is provided on all saitek driver CDs

Old ? just bought me a brand new X45

still it feels clumpsy compared to my Old MS FFB2.
but i like all these knobs

problem i was used to twist stick but because of that my nose swayed all directions.
Now i still shoot bad but the nose is more stable
But since the rudder is on the throttle now i really have to transition to that
This also because i fly on trim now since i have enough knobs to do that .

I hope this saitek is reliable for at least 2 years.
My old MS stick had problems with the hat knobs for the rest it worked fine for more than 3-4 years.

Just worked out a profile and tested it on il2 forgotten battles.
I use the wheel on my throttle for the elevator trim and the other for prop pitch.
I aslo worked out the views much better as i ever had.
Again here a stable nose experience.

maybe i can use that wheel for trim in AH also, i got to find out tomorrow.
I feel slightly eager to install Lock On and falcon 4.0 again

These knobs are especialy great for radar and lock on control on jets.
Damn great stick.

yes, the rotor wheels can be setup for trim in AH
under jstick setup in AH, just select the trim in the left window, then the x45 rotor in the right window and then set the input
be sure to calibrate the rotors when you do the stick as they will then be axis that need to be calibrated so you get the proper range in the game
