FSO: Forked Tail Devils - Score Frame 2
Fellow Combatants,

The parser logs over at Webtreatz are still down. Innominate SEA Stats do not seem to be recording correctly. All the scoring is from the raw logs. That means that each and every action that takes place in the frame is recorded and displayed in text form. It must be manually counted and deciphered into the scoring parameters set by the event description. It is hours of works and mistakes happen. I will do this for frame 2 and 3 also. As the head CM I will not ask the Admin CM’s for the upcoming events to do the same as it is too many extra hours of work, but they may choose to anyway. We have programmers working on new software that will take the place of webtreatz and the parser. When that is complete all scores for future events will be posted. Please bare with us we are doing what we can as fast as possible to correct the situation.

1332 = Axis
1358 = Allies

Here are the specifics:

AXIS

Air Kills
625 pts = 25: B17G @ 25 pts ea.
150 pts = 10: Mossies @ 15 pts ea.
405 pts = 27: P38J @ 15 pts ea.
120 pts = 12: P47D @ 10 pts ea.

TOTAL = 1300

Ground Targets Defense Points (250 points each)
000 pts – A35 (all hangers destroyed)
000 pts – A37 (all hangers destroyed)
000 pts – A38 (all hangers destroyed)
032 pts – A39 (1 fighter hanger intact)

Total = 032

Allies

Air Kills
040 pts = 04: BF109G6 @ 10 pts ea.
070 pts = 07: FW190A8 @ 10 pts ea.
130 pts = 13: FW190A5 @ 10 pts ea.
1500 pts = 10: BF110G @ 15 pts ea.

Total = 390

Ground Targets (250 points each)
250 pts – A35 (all hangers destroyed)
250 pts – A37 (all hangers destroyed)
250 pts – A38 (all hangers destroyed)
218 pts – A39 (1 fighter hanger intact)

Total = 968

This would be called a draw the allies have only 26 points more then the axis this frame. Although the axis did well in the air kill category, the allied bombers where able to hit all targets except 1 fighter hanger. A well planned and executed frame. to both side CO and XOs

WTG BlkKnit and team :aok

I don't have a lot of film for this event because I failed to restart it after the disco and CTD.  What I do have shows a couple of interesting things (including a lone P38 casually flying down my port side 10 minutes before I even new there was an enemy near).

We seemed to have positioned and timed our initial intercept quite well for the bomber main force.   What I did not plan for and did not defend against was a simultaneous low level intrusion by a smaller force of B17's and escorts at about 10K.

 My plan depended on upsetting the bombing pass of the buffs as they approached/hit the target.  We may well have achieved this for the high level flight.   Whether we did or not, my guess is that the low group had a beautiful uninterrupted and very damaging pass over their targets.

I would love to run that critical 10 minutes again without all the discos. :)   There must have been 100 aircraft over A38 about that time.
I get really really tired of selective realism disguised as a desire to make bombers easier to kill.
