Pilot Wounds

Tonight I was flying around in a Dora when I took an ack hit which led to a pilot wound...Ended pu flying around a little longer and finally bailed over the enemy field....As soon as I bailed the pilot wound went away....I stayed on station on the field waiting to vulch with my .45 for 15 minutes or so with no blackouts @ all

Maybe the ack hit just your toe?

SHHHHHHHH! I like this. I spend most of my time plummiting to the ground or in a chute. I NEED the pilot wound to go away.

I believe the wouded pilot is part of the plane model, not the pilot itself.  In other words the game "sees" the wounded pilot as a type of aircraft damage.

Once you eject, you are in essence, a new vessel, hence no more wounded pilot.

At least, that's how it seems to me.

Look at it this way.

Once your out of the plane your hands are no longer busy trying to operate the controls which means you now can apply first aid to yourself and perhaps administer a morphine syrette or two for pain.

Just remember the old saying about syrettes they used in WWII

"2 for pain 3 for eternity"
