Jester might be around. don't know for sure. I think Lowe is gone. Slash (if I am thinking of the correct person) is around. Oboe is around. Wildblue I don't know.

A lot has happened since 2001. I'll let those that know more fill you in on the subject.

Jaekart!!!!!!!

Good to see you. Slash is still around, I think Oboe is in the MA. I see his post sometimes in the O club. Bear is in MA I think his squad is Hells Angels. Jester , and I have been doing Wings Over Vietnam, and Strike Fighters. I've been thinking about coming back , the CT seems to be picking up, and holding out for TOD gets old. Good to see you.

Lowe

Lowe ! How ya been ? I thought u had disowned AH , I'm holdin' out for ToD and see what happens there . I was down  San Antonio / Corpus Christi last July on vacation , and found an FW190 A7 in a museum  :aok  I took a gob of pics of that & many other neat WW2 junk . A must see for 190 fans, even tho the cockpit area is undergoing renovation . From there we went  to Ol Lady Lex in Corpus Bay . What a big bellybutton carrier she was .
anyways we were headed to South Padre Isle from there but a a dude ran a stoplight , and nailed our SUV , so we spent 3 days in Corpus before we headed back home , in  rental car :furious

Hiya Jaekart,

Sorry to say but the 27th Sentai has long since disbanded.

Bolt!
You found a 190 in a Museum in Texas??!!??

If can remember the name let me know, I'll drive down there. I'd like to go see the Lex, and BB Texas one weekend. I've seen the Alabama in Mobil, it was really cool.
Drop me an e-mail sometime bolt johnvan52@yahoo.com. :)

Saw that a few years back, very nice job they've done.

At the time I was there, they were working hard to restore an SBD.  Let me know how far they've come.

- oldman (P.S., Lowe, how are the sons?)

(P.P.S., Lowe, when are you thinking of COMING BACK AND GRACING US WITH YOUR PRESENCE??)

Well OM I wouldn't call me coming back gracing . I had a habit of stinking up the place at times. I think about it a lot. I've been doing some multiplayer Wings Over Vietnam, and Strike Fighters Project  1. It's bothersome at times because theres no where near the multi player features of AH, but it's been fun. So as I get tired of burning JP4 I'll wander back.:)

Thanks for asking about my sons. Travis my oldest is out of the Army and going to college. Thomas is still in , but safely at Ft Hood now. He gets out in May and is planning on going to college as well. He should be out before his unit goes back to Iraq.

The 190 is in the Texas Air Museum at the Stinson airport in San Antonio
here is their link  http://www.texasairmusem.org  , the 190 was one of 4 that the Norwegian govt . gave to be restored with the 190A3 going back .
The 190 A7 was shotdown in a dogfight with RAF Mustangs over Norway & crashlanded , where it was recovered and shipped  here to be restored here , overall they did a good job on the exterior , but the interior was gutted except for the instrument panel with a few gauges and the ammo counter left . the joystick , seat / harnesses & Revi gunsight , radio have been put in display case in the Luftwaffe exhibit which is ok too . theres alot of WW2 stuff that some will like,  from a complete Norden bombsight to a complete B29 gunner station , among others its worth a look just for the 190 alone . ( I crawled  all over it :aok ) the 20mm's are intact and can be seen from underneath very well . along with various type ammo the LW used . But its not a big museum from the outside but theres 2 bldgs which is stuffed with stuff ( one being a decent AVG exhibit ) . go see it and the Riverwalk in downtown S.A. ..the Alamo aint bad either . The Lady Lex is well worth the trip , she had quite a tour of duty in South Pacific  lots of stuff and exhibits to see , the SBD however is still in parts , it was fished from Lake Michigan along with all the gear with it had onboard it , these are displayed by the plane and worth seeing .
