Seasons greetings!
« on: December 15, 2005, 01:44:33 PM »
Just wanted to write a quick thread to wish all and sundry a very merry christmas and a prosperous new year.

For me 2005 has been a year to forget for most parts, I wrote all about it in an earlier thread so won't dwell on it further, had a very difficult middle and end and for the most part AH played a part in keeping me "sane".

Sounds weird but after the days I had it was nice to sit down and have a laff with guys I've never met, laugh, joke and effectively let off steam.
Thanks guys (242 squadron) and thanks HTC.

This also goes for the other country folk I have a banter with, and for that part the honourable NME's too!

So, take it easy, enjoy this time of the year, drive carefully and lets see ALL of you back here safe and sound in the New Year.

This is Smiggy saying Merry Christmas one and all, pip pip toodle loo and I'm off for tiffin!

Oh yeah, rumour has it Santa is getting me a joystick so may be hanging up the mouse for good............doubt it somehow, too used to it and set in my ways now!

Quote of the year from wife ack.......... "it's just a game with planes isn't it?"
:lol

Smiggy.

During this time of year I always remember a song I learned when I was but a wee child

Sung to the tune of "Hark the Herald Angels sing"

Hark the carol singers choke
From the smog and fumes and smoke
See them rub their itching eyes
As the soot pours from the skies

All over town they'll cough and hack
While the snow is turning black
When their final song is sung
They'll go home with one less lung

Thank you MAD Magazine

And Merry Christmas to all
Death is no easy answer
For those who wish to know
Ask those who have been before you
What fate the future holds
It ain't pretty
