Background:
Have not played AH2 since April 2005
installed version was 2031.
Downloaded full v2061 and ran setup.
I did not uninstall 2031, I wanted to retain whatever configuration customization it would be possible to retain.
Game seems to run fine, got online for a sec, no problem.
I'm doing offline testing to make sure everything's okay - including my flying. Not sure if problem is repeatable online:
THE PROBLEM IS:
If I select planes that are new since my older version ( spit 16, spit 8, p-47n are the ones ive tried so far )
AH2 crashes to desktop when I try to leave the hanger.
I can select the plane and view the skin in the hangar.
maybe cockpit art is missing or corrupt or something about it is not quite right?
so far i changed texture sizes from default 128 to 256 to see if it was somehow a skin not getting loaded. disabled the preload options
running at 1280x1024, not different than before.
Hardware and AH2 seems fine in all other respects (maybe the pots in my JS are dusty, controls are pretty erratic)
