Guys refresh My memory here.  I noticed the F4U skins are still only 256x256.  Will this skin be updated to the new 1024?

Forgive me for not searching.  It gives me a headach!

When the F4Us are updated to AH2 specs, the skins will also be updated to 1024x1024 res.

The skin "takes" 1024, but the originals were simply made in 256 (hell I think I mighta seen one at 128 -- can't be sure). To make skins for these planes requires you to put a bit more effort into it, and start on a blown-up default skin so that you're actually working at 1024. Then proceed from there, making things at the proper size.

Takes more work than the new skins, but some already have templates out there (f4u's included) at 1024 res.

Its no secret I used to be P6EHawk.  I made the current, in game, VMF-312 Skin over a year ago.  I know its old and looks a bit silly now but I dont even remember how I did that one.  I dont even have the templets any more.  Not only that but all I have is paint shop pro 5.

I now recall having to enlarge the templete to 1024.

Geeesh, I guess I can look into trying again. :cry

Which F4u are you trying to do? Check AH-Skins.com. There are several F4u's in the templates. F4u4 just got added recently, but there was an older one (possibly -1D??)
