Bunch of braggadocious mouths. Cant keep their traps shut. I dont think they should be privy to secret/TS/FOUO info anyway. They dont need to know. Bush has said just as much and there is quite a few that are not happy. Being in congress is not enough to justify that info.

It's a an old problem with these jokers. In WW2 some jerkoff Congressman trying to look big in the home papers let it slip that the Japanese were setting their depth charges too shallow. Fortunately, there were no Japanese intel types reading those papers.

Don't know, yet, but the media will find out and that person's goose is cooked. Unless he or she is a liberal then we must all "understand".

Horseshit.

Don't matter if it's a liberal, a conservative or a damn communist. National Security violations are SERIOUS matters.

..the problem is that congressmen (sigh..person's) as policy maker's are free to divulge whatever they want whenever they want (almost).  Make your sentiments known during the next election.

and now the media has their panties in a wad after the white house asked them to use better judgment airing the telecasts of those sand monkeys in the taliban and the obins words of wisdom.

doesn't the white house realize the media does know what the words "better judgment" even means let alone know how to implement it??

I say keep them in the freaking dark, stop with the "military experts" - just gives more info to the other side, demand the reporters leave the battle zones - as all they are doing is fueling the anti-war freaks here at home. Have them sit vulcher like in the white house, waiting for the next slide show from the action taken 24 to 48 earlier ..

Can you imagine if we had CNN in the 40's with a reporter in Tokyo when Doolittle made his visit? Then again the majority of the country had a backbone back then, not like today, where backbone is in the minority..

Its easy to pass judgement on a tight rope walker when you know you will never do that same job...but put yourself in their shoes, and your opinion will change.

Well, if your last name is Hatch then you can tell the media on Sept. 11 that we've been intercepting telephone comms between Al-Q. operatives and do just fine.
