Try new batteries?
I hear diging up 5 year old posts really screws up your setup.

If you can, try it on another computer and see if Windows will recognize it.  If it still fails to work on a 2nd computer then most likely it's dead.

That sounds about right when it comes to Logitech gaming gear - it STINKS.
If you have 9 mos left on your warranty, read the fine print as to who's responsible for fixing/replacing it.

If you're limited on cash, think about a Saitek Evo ($35) which will provide you rudder control via a twist handle stick, 8-way views and a decent amount of input buttons. If you're nearby a Best Buy, Comp USA, etc buy it there and be sure to buy a replacement warranty...should any problems arise, return it and they'll replace it on the spot.

If you have $100 - $300 to spend think about a Saitek X52 HOTAS or CH Products Fighterstick USB, Throttle USB & Pro Peds USB. It will last for years to come.

Good luck!

One word of caution...the Saitek Evo...while being a great value at $35 (CompUSA price) are known to sometimes develop "nose bounce" and drift after a couple of months...others last indefinately. That's where your replacement warranty comes in handy :D

Also, if you buy the EVO, you can map the axis inputs, hat views and input controls directly in AH...the set-up software Saitek provides requires a degree in rocket science :rofl

68,

I'd suggest, as Max seems to, that you do what you need to for now, but start putting a little something away for a proper CH setup.  Obviously start with your stick, then decide if you want the other goodies.

For me...no other product lasts at all.  I know they're pricey, but I prefer to cry just once every 5 years or so, instead of every few months.  Hell, I gave my last one to my buddy when I got a new rig, and he's using it now in AH, and the thing is at least 7 years old.

If you spend anything more than a few hours a month, you'll want the best.  And skip CH Manager.  Some can do wonders with it, but for me, it just interfered with everything.
