I just found this linked over at the CH Hangar forums.

This is for a simulator that is supposed to be going around to different airshows. It looks pretty cool and could be used to build something with no motion at all.

I hate to say it, and don't tell my wife, but after I sell my 73 Jensen Interceptor I am thinking about building a simulator cockpit.  My dad owned a hydraulics business for 25 years, he's retired now and would probably love a project.

I wonder if it would be possible to get a direct feed of certain parameters from AH2 such as roll rate, G pull, and so on from the game itself that could be fed into an external signaling system to control a hydraulics controller...

I could see myself getting into serious trouble with this :)

I definetely can not do something like that at this stage but in a few years I can see myself building something similar. The only catch for me is it would have to either go into the garage or storage room and so would the computer. My wife tolerates a bunch of stuff but that is one thing that would never see the light of day inside our house.

I fought like hell for a 3 car garage on our new house, but had to settle for a 2 car. At least it's got enough vertical for a engine lift.
