Heinz Bar's 'special' Fw 190...

Its noted that Bar had a special 190 with a wooden propeller on standby.  He scored his 200th victory in this aircraft when a sole Liberator flew over II/JG 1's airfield. Its stated that it was a 'large diameter' wooden propeller.  My question is, does this type of propeller add any increase in performance to the aircraft?

thx

I think all the 190 props were wooden.

No way, that was special German "bendy wood".

You're right, I was thinking of the D-9 and Ta 152.

Maybe Bär's plane had a D-9 prop?
