Saburo Sakai was a great man.
The airshow stunt, not shooting down the civilian plane, those are things of movie heroes.

He was a TRUE hero.

<S> Saburo San. Rest in peace

I've had the dream of meeting Mr. Sakai over some rice wine and just listening to him.
Alas that will never happen now.

(speaking of listening... the person who did the interview should listen more...just read the interview and you'll see what I mean....)

Weird, I wrote that post above shorty before going to bed.
Las night I dreamt I was in 1942, in a cramped carrier, scrambling to intercept American bombers.
I didnt know wich was my plane, so I was yelling "WHATS MY PLANE? WICH PLANE DO I FLY?" And out of nowere came Saburo Sakai, not young, but old Saburo from the pictures, he pointed to a Zero and said "That is your plane. Good luck."

I woke up very sad.
