Read Udie, read..

"It's quite obvious: if there is proof that, say, Iraq harbors terrorists, then action is fair," Goncharov said. "But if they want to start carpet bombings, like in Yugoslavia, and then see what happens, it can't be allowed."

russia and china are the majority of the freakin problem yet here we are shakin hands with them.

drill our own oil, build our shields and screw the rest of em.

 FDski,

The problem with that is that Saddam is a freakin terrorist!!!!!!! His whole freakin regime is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  AND he is ON our target list now.  We're already softening up iraq's air defences in what I assume is preperation for a major attack, I hope.

It's fixin to bust wide open i think....

As far as I'm aware.. we ain't 'carpet-bombed' a damn thing since Vietnam. We did however, have a real case of the bellybutton with Yugo's and we DID precison bomb enmasse that piece of crap carmaker right back to the stoneage.

 :D

(fer crissakes, smile; people!)

Russia is not the enemy. They know it, we know it.

Well; some of us anyway.  ;)

SMILE, dammit! I insist!! The converse hurts to damn much.

Article only says it's ok to hit iraq IF they were involved in 9/11. Now here is a question. What if they were the source of the anthrax circulating in the US at this time? That was NOT during 9/11, it was after. According to the conditions specified by that Russian General iraq would be off limits. Pretty lame support of elimination of terrorism in that case IMO.

"We can't allow the United States to wield its club the way it wants,"

and we cant allow rogue states to harbor terrorists anymore..

We are on good terms with Iran

good for you, were not,

besides, who would you rather be on 'bad terms' with? the US or IRAN?

If Russia 'doesent support' the US going after Saddam, thats fine.dont help up, just sit there and whine.. but if they think for some reason they have the right or athority.. to stop us from dealing with that scum.. well, when push comes to shove.. thats just too bad...

I never liked this polarisation.

Uou're either with us or you're a terrorist.

I hope you American chaps don't buy this simplistic nonsense.

The world is a far more complex place, and if you believe the aforementioned statement, I now understand why the US is being called arrogant and intolerant.

Hey dudes, it just ain't that simple. It sure sounds good though.

cc santa.

what's really sad is how many people believe it actually IS that black and white even though our actions to date haven't been consistent with that statement.

i'm surprised more people haven't noticed that we are applying this ultimatum rather losely and very selectively! scares me when people don't catch that stuff.

seems hypocritical. bring back ben franklin, we need some advice...
