SUPERFLY: please redo the 202/205 cockpits!

Redo the 202/205 cockpits! Or even use modified 109 ones!

Puuuuleeaseee! :( :cry

I can assure:

- 3 years (minimum) subscription for at least 10 members of my Eyeties squad (thoose active and even ret.);
- $ bribes;
- the biggets and best (constantly increasing) collection of WW2 italian fighters and bombers manuals so far (scanned in colors from originals);
- a box of the best italian wines or even of that gasoline-whiskey you seem to like at HTC.

Otherway, we will be there soon with shotguns and (put an old Brooklin accent here) "an offer you cannot refuse"  .... Well, you know what the Godfather was used to say.

You might as well request the P40B cockpit be redone! Or the D3a Val cockpit be redone!

They're *all* going to be redone..... "eventually". I think the older craft won't be redone until the end (personal prediction alert!) of the process. Mind you I love the Maccis, and I'd appreciate them a lot more when they're redone, but also consider that when every aircraft is "modernized" it is also "fixed" -- FM bugs and whatnot are removed, damage model is re-done (or haven't you noticed that as every bomber is "redone" it is much easier to catch fire?) and there might be negative consequences that impact the ability to fly the C2 aircraft.

Just a thought. Enjoy them now, because when they're redone they might not be as "good" as they are now :P

Well, I've flown alot the new beautiful IL-2's and the Targetware: Target Tobruk's Macchi 202 and 205 and, IMO, the visibility is enuff.

And the AH2's C.205 is one of the less stable gun platform in the whole plane set. Consider only the head/plane shaking during hard maneuvers and at the edge of the flight envelope.

So, I'm not afraid of any FM tuning it might eventually come with the new graphics :)

Hrm... I like the 202/205 a lot and normally fly them oodles, but don't remember too much head shaking (at least, not compared to most aircraft). I don't think they're too horribly unstable, but at slow speeds they do have their moments. I flew one into the ground while I was in a P47D11 trying to stall fight with full flaps. I barely avoided stalling out, he didn't so it probably is there, but I haven't noticed it.

I'd like to see the 202/205 have a 4x 12.7mm gun option. I've got at least one book that mentions this was the common armament, and makes a note that it's about the same as the P51B. However, in Ah we only have 2x 12.7mm and 2x 7mm. The 7mm don't "do it" for me, heh. Yes 20mm are nice (and plentiful) on the 205 but once in a while I like to play dangerously

Actually, only some C.205 prototypes mounted the 4x12,7mm armament. The strange thing was that the 4 MG were all in the nose: two in the engine cowlings and two low near the oil radiators. All syncronized, with a ROF roughly between 400 and 750 rpm.

I agree, those 2x7mm are useless weights in the wings.

I disagree they're "useless"... They're not the main punch, but if I fly the 202 I always take 4 guns. Even if it the 7mm are weak, you still get more punch landing them with the 12.7mm than if you only took the 12.7mm. "Every little bit helps" -- that sort of thing.
