Ok, here's the deal. I just downloaded the latest version, Patch 1, and all of a sudden it wont respond to my mouse! Can anybody tell me how to sort this or do I need a joystick?

Did you read the help files? Did you read the release notes for the patch?

You might try holding down 1st mouse button for control input.
