As I understand it, the flight doesnt count unless you end it -- by landing, ditching, or dying.

I think its a good system....This way if you happen to be up in a 262, and the reset comes with all those bases changing hands....you're not going to lose those perks.

It should, as both kills & points for scoring are defenitely awarded even when u disco (but scorepoints are multiplied by .25)

I am pretty sure you lose the perks for a disco. otherwise anyone about to die in a 262 could just alt-f4 and lose nothing

We speak about two different types of perk points:
The ones you have PAYED when riding a perk plane - yes, you loose them when you go disco
The perk points you have EARNED in current sortie (thatīs the ones we are talking about) -  IMHO you still get them, reduced by disco modifier (x0.25)

Well, you're right when it comes to the standard disco....

but the original question was about the specific situation when there's a HOST CONNECTION LOST message after a reset.

After a reset, the points are not charged either for or against you unless your flight ends (land, crash, disco, whatever) during the 3 minutes from a map "win" till the arena reboots.

thats true (and maybe I shoul read more thoroughly sometimes  ). Unless its a map change reset by skuzzy, one does not lose perks by that kind (and only that kind) of disco

And war win points are save at the time of the event. Out come of sortie has no effect on them.
