My Brother has pre-ordered it - he should get it on the 26th November.

I might pay him an unexpected visit.

Lucky brit bastid!! ;-)
I can't wait to get my hands on it, but I gotta wait until it's over here in the US. Pre-ordering it from the UK would probably leave it on my doorstep around the same time it hits US shelves tho... I hope!! :-(

My C466 326MB PC100 RAM and V5 5500 should be able to handle medium detail.. and it is supposed to still look amazingly good at that level.

I'll let you know if it's any good... you never know it might be crap and you can save yourself the $40.

My brother's machine is a PIII 550 with voodoo 3000 and 128 Mb PC100 - I post some screen shots from it.

BTW, why is it released over here first - I'd assumed it was an american development team?

WayWard is it's developer and is a British based programming team. UK Hasbro gets first dibs, so it's shipped to you lucky guys first then we'll get it a little later when US Hasbro gets CD copies from the UK.

See!! Some good things do come from the UK. ;-P

Hehehe

BTW - there's a really good mailorder games company here, which is where my brother pre-ordered his copy from. I'm almost certain that it will ship to the States:

 http://www.gameplay.co.uk

I'm sure if you paid a little extra, you could have the game a couple of weeks before its released in the states.

If you ever bought Blood 2 you'll notice a little warning on the back "Not for sale in the US". I've got a copy I picked up at a discount software place. When I raided the official site I found out that the game was made in the UK. Still a fun game, even if I'm a Bloody Yank and not supposed to own it

I had a demo of that - it was pretty good.

Was it banned in the US? I guess it did have quite a 'dark' theme. Soldier of Fortune was more graphic, though.

It ain't illegal for you Bloody Yanks (tm)  to buy games designed for the UK market, direct from the UK. I hope it isn't, because I was thinking of buying the DVD version of 'Kelly's Heroes' from the US, because it isn't available over here. I found some software that will let my DVD drive play Region 1 DVDs.

I chatted to Iain Howe (one of the programmers) for some time at ECTS in September as I watched him play it. Looked nice (although a mid-air collision resulted in 3 planes bobbing about like ducks on a pond before reformating. I should say this was 2 weeks into beta testing). I already pre-ordered it
