Special Events & Limited Flight Time

Getting back into the air soon.  Will be flying less, and I've never seriously explored "Special Events" thoroughly.

Given dissatisfactions with the main arena, I'd like to give Special Events a fair shake.  I anticipate looking at the schedule then seeing what matches up with my free time.

The Battle of Britain scenario is going on right now, 1 out of 4 frames completed. Next one is on Saturday 3pm EST (that's the start time, be there at least 45 minutes earlier to be assigned to a squad and to get to fly - if you haven't registered).

Then there are plenty of other fun Special Events, see the calendar at the top of this BB for times and additional information.

Panzzer, thanks!  I found the Special Events HQ, or whatever it's called, and discovered week-ends are big.  Looks like I'll be exploring the Snap Shots.

I'd imagine that the Marine Air Wing will have openings (I currently serve as XO in the SEA version of our squad), so if you'd like to have a "regular guest spot" in FSO, you are welcome to fly with us and see how it works out.

And just to be clear..Battle of Britain is almost CERTAIN to have walk on spots available. BoB 2004 is still my absolute all time favorite AH experience...incredibly fun and immersive. If you have a chance, go for it!

You can still fly in the BoB (3 frames = 3 Saturdays of scenario flying left), just show up as a walkon 45 minutes early and you'll get a ride. The BoB is one of the finest scenarios I've flown.
