Please Help with my New X52
« on: October 13, 2006, 09:42:27 AM »
Ok I went out and replaced my Thrustamaster JS with the X52.. Jeesh that thing has lots O' Buttons.  OK so you can probably already see where Im going with this...

I used the SST software to configure it, I even used a precreated profile I found on this forum. But when I go in game (AH)  nothing is configured... X,Y,Z axis, hats, sliders, throttle ... nothing.  From what I understand (which is probably wrong, as long as you have a profile setup using SST it should work in game without any other config INSIDE AH... Is this incorrect?

I then just mapped the X52 inside AH and that seemed to work for some buttons. But I cant get things like Zoom in out to work for either buttons or the slider (it doesnt even give you a choice to use Zoom for slider.

If anyone can give me a step by step (as if you were trying to walk your Grandma thorugh it) I would really appreciate it and in return I will bless you with good Karma for your efforts.

Thanks,

Ryan

You will have to map the stick axes (the 2 rotaries on the throttle, the throttle axis, and all 3 stick axes) in the game. I have everything else, I think, mapped through the stick software, with the exception of the tilde key (which I mapped to the reset timer key ingame).

Like Hub said; Go to config in AH and wiggle your stick about, find the axis you want (where numbers are moving), click "Modify" and select the function you want that axis to perform.

Oh, and the throttle axis will need to be inverted.

I mapped the stick, and throttle, and two rotaries (for trim) in AH. All the anilog inputs.

everything else I mapped as keypresses through the SST software., Including my hat views.

for that example...say to look right, you have to go into advanced commands in the SST software and use advanced commands to signify that the button is configured as a press and hold command.
