Any help on this 190F8....

Just saw this picture on the net.  Anyone have any info on it or its unit?

I think it's a 190F8.

Would be a nice addition to the f8's.

It's not an F-8. It looks like it's got small-caliber cowl MGs, and unless they've removed the inboard MG151-20s, it's an A-0 or A-1 which had 7.9mm inboard MGs and MGFF outboards.


As for the skin itself: I'm sorry to say it would be impossible to get that "grin" in place. That area of the cowling is heavily stretched on both sides to "pull around" the bottom seam. You could get the eyes, but they'd be useless without the mouth.

EDIT: Also the probe is far inboard (just outside of the MF/FF), indicating an early variant. Probably an A-0/1-ish model.
