High Definition LCD monitors vs Tube monitors

In terms of size the LCDs wins hands down, the Tube High Definition TVs are limited to 34-inch because of the weight.  But which technology still provide better contrast ratio?

The cathode ray tube is still the best picture you can get.  Contrast on LCD and plasma isn't very good; the best you can get is a dark gray. Dispite the nay-sayers, when it comes to large-screen HD, I prefer DLP.  DLP has the best contrast ratio you can get with a large screen.

34" is incorrect.  

The best picture you can get IMHO, is still the Loewe Aconda (38").    

After that, the Pioneer Elites and then the Mitsubishi Diamond series.
