I've been lookin all over the web to see if I can find a copy of some O'club rules that you'd normally see posted on the wall such as "Should you find your wallet laying on the bar top, you may be liable to buy a round".  You find them engraved on a piece of wood and usually have a reference to the bell hanging on the bar.
I'm trying to put something together for my home bar and want to have the same type of plaque.  Any help?

The problem is, the last rule is that anyone caught reading the rules is liable for a round...  Makes it kinda tough on the new guy but how else would we get our free drinks?

Most of the "regs" are unpublished. If they are published it's probably in small print on some plaque in an obscure dark corner of the club where it's easy to miss.

Here are a few easy ones.

Never put your hat on the bar.

Never put your wallet on the bar.

Watch others to see if putting your elbows on the bar is OK. In some places it isn't.

Some posts O' Clubs are very loosely operated and quite a bit of fun things happen. The Ft. Knox  O' Club is a good example. The club at the rear is called Fiddlers Green and it's pretty wide open. I've seen folks dancing on tables, glasses thrown and lot and lots of noise, where the front portion is more like a restaraunt, very reserved and quiet.

Davis Monthan AFB O'Club is about as tame and boring as it gets. I've seen some mortuaries that are more lively. It's boring freaking city!

Your best bet is to sit at a table towards the back and just watch. The "rules" will become evident with a bit of observation.

Nope I am describing the O'Club in base. The A10 folks are not the club. Another thing is that this is a training base not a combat arms base. In other words, with the exception of the trainers, students for the A-10's and the EC130's the rest are all REMFS. Pity.

I wish I could remember the ones from Maxwell.  Those were damn witty.  That club only livened up once in a great while, though.

Unposted rules in the Kadena AFB O'Club:

1.  All USAF pilots must show up in flight suits wearing their KC-135 squadron patches proudly.

2.  Marines show up at 2000 unless they had a staff call at 1600, and in this case, their roaring drunk by 2000 after vulching the chow from Happy Hour.

3.  Navy Nurses from Camp Foster show up at 2001 and immediately begin stalking Marines referenced above.

4.  No later than 2001, USAF pilots that are new talk trash to a Marine at the bar, until they realize that Marines outnumber USAF personnel 5 to 1.

5.  By 2005, USAF personnel try to convince themselves that there are no Marines in their club.

6.  No later than 2200, at least one Marine must puke in the bushes out at the ATM.

7.  No later than 2330, slightly overweight DODDS teachers begin to look good to Marines referenced above.

8.  At 2331, USAF personnel must continue to delude themselves that there are no Marines in their O'Club.

9.  NLT 2359, Marines begin flipping coins to determine whether they go home with DODDS teachers or Navy Nurses.

10.  NLT 2359:30, Marines begin trying to pick fights in the Male head with new USAF tanker pilots.

I was enlisted so I didnt get to go inside the O'clubs a lot, a few times here and there, so my memory is a bit foggy on this but I remember some rule I heard about doing "touch and gos" on the bar or the tables.  

On top of that there were all the rules for Dinning Ins and Dinning Outs :lol

That's hilarious!  Thanks, I'm going to have to sit down and think up some new ones, though.  I don't have many marines around :)
