Cannot see anyone online.

Hi,

I just got AH and tried it tonight (9PM GMT+1).

I get into the online game OK, I enter the main arena where 45 other people are playing according to the software.

At this point I get to the tower and the clipboard appears, I cannot go to the hanger or fly, the button appears to work but nothing happens.

Also the roster is empty.

What am I doing wrong?

My modem is sending and receiving data at all times during these problems. Also if I use the radio to send a message it does not appear in the message window.

That sounds like what happens when Savvis network is dropping packets or lagging badly.  (Try running a traceroute to www.hitechcreations.com.  )  I'd give it another try later on.

What Bloom said, it sounds like you're getting a lot packetloss and lag in your connection.  It's best to run a traceroute to see if it's something with your system or with your internet route.  If you show a clean traceroute, you might have a conflict between your joystick and modem.  If that's the case, I'd recommend toggling the "Poll with Interrupts" checkbox in your joystick setup in the Windows control panel and see if that makes a difference.
