Radio and Stick Calibration screen Questions
« on: March 21, 2000, 06:02:00 PM »
OK 2 questions from a newbie:-
1. When text buffer scrolls up, if the upper line is longer than the one below it then the tail end of the upper line is left behind and tags on the end of the lower line so ...

xxxxxxxxxx
yyyyy
zzzzzz

becomes -

yyyyyyxxxxxx
zzzzzz
aaaaaa

if that makes sense ...
Is this particular to my install or a bug/feature?

2.I have tried to alter the sliders in the joystick calibrattion screen but they don't always respond so one will be out of sorts and I have to cancel - again is this my machine or a bug?

Thanks
Sparks

Hi sparks,
Never seen the Text buffer problem but have seen the calibration sliders lock up. You could try editing the stick config (stick.cfg) directly in notepad for instance it's only a text file.

Take a backup 1st though.

The text buffer limits the length of the message.  If you exceed it, the you must retype the last bit of it that didnt get posted.  (if I understood your question right)
Say 50 letters and spaces......every letter and space over that are dropped and you have to type #51 to the end again.  But it will post up to the limit and present them on 2 lines.....up to the maximum number of letters and spaces.
