Slow menus (all of a sudden)

I've always been able to navigate the AH game menus really fast.

Lately though, when I click 8 player, then navigate those menues, it is slow as hell. Also, after I get in it takes some time to choose my plane and runway. And when I die it take like 3 seconds for the menu to appear.

This is all getting frustrating, especially since it was so smooth before, any ideas?

A change like that normally indicates the computer is now running something else in the background it was not running before.

Or the CPU is overheating and clocking itelf back.

Check your background processes in the Task Manager, under the "Processes" tab.  Just watch and see if the CPU Usage % spikes upwards.  It should be bouncing between 0 and 1 (maybe 2)% like a heartbeat.

It seems I had an instance of firefox running, consuming 45MB of Ram. WTF, that is ridiculous...

Anyway, problem solved, thanks
